Giving Hearts Day set Feb. 8

Current families, alumni and friends are invited to support Oak Grove Lutheran School and its mission again on Giving Hearts Day, coming up on Feb. 8.

Last year, Grovers across the U.S. provided $1.014 million to support the school’s mission. OGLS ranked among the Top 5 large-budget charities for impact on Giving Hearts Day. A gift to Oak Grove on Giving Hearts Day makes an immediate impact in several ways:

  • Funding instructional resources for enable faculty to continue the outstanding teaching that families and alumni expect from Oak Grove;
  • Reducing the costs of education for the families of current students;
  • Providing scholarships for students whose families have limited financial resources; and
  • Subsidizing the expenses connected with opportunities for students across a wide spectrum of the performing arts, athletics and student-interest organizations.

 

Started in 2008, Giving Hearts Day encourages people to find a charity to love and to support with gifts before Valentine’s Day. It benefits almost 600 charities across North Dakota and northwest Minnesota.
